Biography:

Isin Daulet Kalykovich graduated from the Karaganda Polytechnic Institute in 1966 with a degree in “Foundry production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.”

In 1970 – 1974 he studied at the postgraduate course of the Central Research Institute of Chronology and Mechanics named after. Bardin (Moscow) and at the same institute in 1974 defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in the specialty of ferrous metallurgy.

In 1975, he was accepted at KSTU as a senior teacher, then appointed as an associate professor, professor of the department, and all his career activities are connected with Karaganda State Technical University (KSTU, hereinafter KarTU).

By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1979, he was awarded the title of associate professor, and on April 11, 2014, by the decision of the KKSON of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was awarded the academic title “Professor” in the specialty “Metallurgy”.

At the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after. Maurice Thorez (Moscow) completed French language courses, underwent language training in France (Paris, Montpellier) and from 1982 to 1986 (4 years) through international scientific and technical relations, working as a professor at the Annabinsky University of the Andr Democratic Republic (Algeria ), gave lectures on technical disciplines in French to foreign students.

Takes an active part in solving problems of higher education. With his participation, standard programs for the specialty “Mechanical Engineering” were developed. When conducting classes, Isin D.K. actively uses information and communication tools: slide lectures, multimedia presentations and interactive technologies that ensure the development of student independence.

He is the supervisor of master’s thesis and diploma projects of students in the specialty “Metallurgy”, “Materials Science and Technology of New Materials”. Supervises the scientific work of students who, based on the results of Republican research competitions, became holders of diplomas and other awards.

By the decision of the Committee for Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 11, 2014, he was awarded the academic title of “Professor” in the specialty “Metallurgy”.

The main directions of his scientific research are effective ways to improve the preparation of iron ore raw materials in ferrous metallurgy and improve the quality of engineering materials, as well as research on problems of higher education.

Performer of a number of republican projects (fundamental and applied scientific research, projects, contract work): creation of the Center for Heat-Resistant Materials for the Space and Aviation Industry; development of technology for the production of complex castings when casting using gasified models; development of mathematical and computer models of sand-resin molds for the production of critical-use castings; development and research of the production process of high-quality rolled metal; development of technology for producing nanostructured metal products by combining the processes of casting blanks and extrusion in equal-channel stepped matrices (ECSM); development of technology for smelting new types of calcium-containing ferroalloys from waste manganese slag and high-ash coals; development of technology for smelting manganese ferroalloys and master alloys using difficult-to-process manganese and ferromanganese ores; development of technology for smelting ferrosilicon FS75 from quartzite from the Bobrovsky deposit; research and pilot testing for the production of ferroalloys from the black shale sludge of the Greater Karatau; industrial development and implementation of technology for stabilizing refined ferrochrome slags by regulating the basicity of the slags.

The author of more than 280 works published in the state, Russian and English languages, including 42 textbooks published with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (recommended, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan) for students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions; more than 50 teaching aids; 2 monographs; 16 innovative patents and intellectual property; 11 articles in ranking international scientific journals, which, according to the Thomson Reuters information database (ISI web of Knowledge, Thomson Reuters), have a non-zero impact factor; 27 scientific papers in publications recommended by the Committee; 27 e-learning tools.

In the work of Isin D.K. distinguished by conscientiousness, diligence, and a creative approach to solving educational and production problems.

During the period of work he has established himself as a competent and qualified specialist.

In his work, he pays a lot of attention to improving the quality of training of specialists. Takes an active part in all university events. He enjoys authority and respect among teachers and students.
