Taranov Alexander Viktorovich, 1976 year of birth, higher education, graduated from Karaganda State Technical University in 1998 with a degree in electrical engineer, Ph.D. in the specialty 05.05.06 “Mining machines” in 2009, associate professor of the department “Power systems”

 

A. V. Taranov has been working in KSTU since 1998 as an assistant, teacher, from 2003 to 2010 – as a senior teacher of the Department of Energy of the Faculty of Energy, Automation and Telecommunications. Since 2010, Associate Professor of the Department of Power Systems. From June 2011 to 2020 he worked as the head of the Department of Power Systems. Continuous experience of scientific and pedagogical activity at KSTU – 23 years.

A. V. Taranov a leading scientist of the university, is actively engaged in scientific research in the field of energy, mining mechanics and the implementation of the latest teaching technologies in the educational process.

He prepared and read cycles of lectures on the disciplines “Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering”, “Fundamentals of Power Supply”, “Designing Power Supply for Enterprises”, “Scientific and Technical Problems in the Power Industry”, “Modern Problems in the Power Industry”. At the same time Taranov A.The. conducts laboratory and practical classes, supervises course design and coursework of students, takes exams, is engaged in methodological work to improve the educational process, takes an active part in scientific and methodological seminars, the development and updating of methodological manuals, etc.

He actively attracts students to innovative and scientific activities, is the scientific supervisor of undergraduates in the specialty “Power Engineering”. 13 masters have been defended under his supervision. He was involved as an expert on the line of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC “National Center for Scientific and Technical Expertise”.

A.V. Taranov more than 60 scientific works have been published, including 3 textbooks with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 monographs, 6 textbooks, 7 articles in foreign journals with a non-zero impact factor from the list of the publishing house Clarivate Analytics and Scopus. Developed and issued 3 innovative patents, 8 certificates of registration of rights to objects of copyright to intellectual property.

Takes an active part in the implementation of research work.

In 2012. was the responsible executor of research work on grant funding by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the project “Creation of pilot industrial samples of cargo pneumatic lifts for buildings and structures with a carrying capacity of 110, 250, 500 kgf” in the amount of 19 million tenge (agreement on innovation grant No. sixteen).

In 2012-2014. was the executor of research work on grant funding by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the project “Development of methods to improve the efficiency of heat supply systems for housing and communal services with the establishment of optimal heat engineering parameters” in the amount of 15 million tenge (agreement on innovation grant No. 195-4).

In 2012-2014. was the executor of research work on grant funding by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the project “Development and implementation of domestic information and measurement system for determining the concentration of methane” in the amount of 15 million tenge (agreement on innovation grant No. 193-2).

In 2018-2020. was the executor of research work on grant funding by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the project “Development of innovative technologies to increase the efficiency of power supply to power consumers with voltage up to 1000 V of mining enterprises”

In 2018-2020. was the executor of research work on grant funding by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the project “Implementation of a resource-saving heat supply system for the energy efficient functioning of decentralized facilities”

Participated in research and development contractual work on the following topics:

1. “Revision, adjustment and development of recommendations for improving the operating modes of stationary installations of drainage mines of the open pit” Bogatyr “(fan installations)”;

2. “Revision, adjustment and development of recommendations for improving the operating modes of stationary installations of drainage mines of the Bogatyr open-pit mine (lifting equipment on the slopes of the shafts)”;

3. “Revision, adjustment and development of recommendations for improving the operating modes of stationary installations of drainage mines of the Bogatyr open-pit mine (lifting installations of vertical shafts)”.

Winner of the title “Best University Teacher” in 2017.
