Graduated with honors from Karaganda Polytechnic Institute in 1976. In 1972-1976– he was a Lenin scholar. In 1976-1977, he worked as a Category II design engineer for the Department of the Chief metallurgist at Kargormash. From 1977 to 1980, he was a postgraduate student at the Moscow Automobile Engineering Institute (MASI). In 1987-1988, he was a research intern at the Aachen Technical University and the Foundry Institute. From 1980 to 1992 he worked as a senior lecturer, associate professor, from 1992 to 2000 – professor at the Department of MLP and KM, and since June 2000 – head of the department. From March 2004 to June 2011 He worked as the first vice-rector. Since July 2011, he has worked as Vice-rector for I and UMR, and since January 24, 2013, he has held the position of First Vice-rector of KSTU.
Issagulov A.Z. has been conducting applied research in the field of precision casting, foundry automation, and metallurgy for more than 30 years. For the first time, four new technological processes and machines for the manufacture of steel and cast iron castings have been developed and introduced into production (Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus). The method of calculating the parameters of pulse machines is used in the operation of automatic molding lines from companies GF (Switzerland), AMD (Germany). The developed devices for studying the technological properties of molds and new steel grades have been introduced at 20 industrial enterprises and firms in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Scientific director of two projects of the PCF and one of the GF of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 620 scientific papers have been published, including 118 patents, 10 monographs, 11 textbooks, 60 books and textbooks.
He is a member of the Republican Council for Experimental Programs, an expert of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Commission for Science and Education Awards, a member of the editorial boards of the republican journals Intellectual Property and University Proceedings, Chairman of the Central Kazakhstan Branch of the MAIN, a full member of the Association of Kazakh Terminologists.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued Issagulov A.Z. a certificate of the winner of the competition for the best textbook among universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2002), and in 2004 – a certificate of “Quality management systems according to ST RK ISO series 9000:2001″. The certification Association “CHECK POINT” issued a certificate of the European standard (2005). Winner of the state scientific scholarship for scientists who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of science and technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2009,2010,2012,2013,2017) and the silver medal named after A. Baitursynov “for the best textbook (2011).
Issagulov A.Z. – inventor of the USSR (1985), the best inventor of the Karaganda region (1992). He was awarded gold, silver and bronze medals of the VDNH of the USSR (1988, 1990, 1991) and 1st degree diplomas of the VDNH of Kazakhstan (1987, 1990), a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2005, 2007), the badge “Honorary Worker of Education” (2003), the medal “Kazakhstan Constitution 10 Zhyl”, the medal “S. Altynsarin” (2006), the badge “For Merits in Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2009), the Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2011).
Issagulov A.Z. – awarded the medal “Yeren yenbegi ushin” (2011), “20 years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2012), “25 years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2016), the Order of “Kurmet” (2018), the badges “Honorary Machine Builder of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2013), “Shakhterskaya glory of the I, II, III degree” (2013, 2015, 2016), “Labor Glory of the II, III degree” (2013, 2018), medal “20 years of Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2015), gratitude of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2015).
Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of Kazakhstan (1987), the best inventor of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2005), academician of the International Academy of Informatization (2000), Academician of the International Academy of Sciences of Higher Education (2003), Academician of the KazNAEN (2009). Winner of the Zamandas competition in the “Pride of Science” nomination (2011).
Winner of the Al-Farabi State Prize in Science and Technology in 2020.
